All dogs need to have a collar. Whether the dog collar is made of leather, nylon or some synthetic material is irrelevant. The most important thing is that it serves its purpose. Some dog collars are made to be decorative and some are utilitarian and some are both. You need to determine what you want from the product. If you have a small dog or a miniature breed strength is not an issue. If you have a medium to large breed then strength may be an issue and you may want to get a doubled and stitched leather collar or a doubled and stitched nylon dog collar. If your dog is well trained (leash trained to obey simple commands) then you can get by with a relatively light weight adjustable dog collar, or a rolled leather collar.

The adjustable collars we make are produced in the following sizes: 3/8" wide 6" to 11" adjustment, 5/8" wide 8" to 14" adjustment, 5/8" wide 12" to 18" adjustment, 3/4 wide 16" to 24" and 1" wide 18 to 26".
The 3/4" and 1" we make doubled and stitched collars for strength and durability. We also make 109 leather collars for dogs all American made.

We also make collars for very small dogs in nylon and leather starting at 3/8" by 8" and going all the way up to 1&1/2" wide to what ever size you need. The 1&1/2" wide nylon collars are available with a forward dee ring or a standard dee ring. The forward dee ring design keeps the stress off the buckle and holes.
Our leather 1&1/2" wide collars are made of two pieces of leather with nylon webbing cross stitched and riveted between the layers of leather, shown below as the Rottweiler collar.
